The titleist ap2 712 irons are the brand's most forgiving forged cavity back design to become available in 2010. It looks fairly similar with the previous titleist ap2 712 irons but this one was said to have a wider sole, longer heel to toe length while maintaining a fairly compact top line and overall profile among some other aesthetic changes.
The new 712 ap2, which are designed for wholesale golf clubs low handicappers, Titleist has significantly increased the club's moment of inertia (MOI) by re-positioning tungsten weight within the heads. The overall goal was to better apply the different materials used in the design. Increased Playability through an advanced technology, multi-material, forged carbon steel body and high density tungsten weight design. Consistent Ball Speed and improved distance control on miss-hits from a 7% increase in MOI with no loss of workability or shot control. It improved Solid Feel from increased MOI and the tuned feel cavity insert. Precise Short Irons with reduced sole widths in the 8, 9, P for improved turf performance
I have played with Titleist clubs many years, and the 712 ap2 is really the good one to provide the good performance. I have kept the 2010 AP2 a long time, so I am always looking forward to a set of new irons to bring more improvements to my golf, and now the new Titleist AP2 irons finally come, I can’t wait to have a try these new irons. However, when I hold the golf set in my hand, I feel some disappointed, because the new ap2 irons are very similar with the old AP irons, not only from the appearance but also the design. I know May Titleist AP irons own the Tuned Feel System; it is a soft elastomer insert and aluminum plate, so it can provide the good sound and feel.
